When the going gets tough 'Get Through' with Farmstrong

18 Nov 2024

Farmstrong, a national provider of rural mental health and wellbeing support, has launched 'Getting Through': an online hub offering practical tools and resources for farmers and growers to help manage stress and build resilience.

'Getting Through' is funded by Health NZ and was officially launched by Minister for Mental Health, Matt Doocey, at an event in Wellington on November 14.

The platform includes:

  • Mental skills toolkit: Practical strategies to manage workload, stress, and pressure.
  • Farmer and grower stories: Insights from peers who have overcome challenges, offering a roadmap for what lies ahead.
  • Expert advice: Responses from wellbeing experts addressing key concerns raised by those in the horticulture sector.

We encourage you to explore these resources and consider how they might support you and your team. By prioritising mental wellbeing, we can foster a more resilient and thriving plant production community.
