Board Election Nominations Are Open

24 Feb 2021

This is a great opportunity to make the most of your membership by regularly connecting with other industry leaders. In these changing and challenging times our industry needs leaders with strong ideas who are willing to stand up and be counted – does this sound like you?

NZPPI’s Constitution includes a rotation policy that requires two board members to retire each year, with the right to seek re-election.

This years retiring members, Patrick Murray (Forestry) and Vince Wylaars (Food) have both advised that they will not be seeking re-election.

Greg Kitson (Retail) has announced his retirement from the Board, making this position also available.

Our Board members are vital to NZPPI’s success, setting our strategic direction, bringing their industry knowledge and leadership skills to the table.

Sector Board members sit for a term of three years, with four Board meetings each year. Board members are remunerated for their time, and governance training is available.

Our members are encouraged to put up their hand to be nominated, and vote in the upcoming elections in March.

All nominations must be made on official forms, which is attached as PDF at the bottom of the page. These are to be completed by fully paid-up Plant Producer members of NZPPI, not Industry Partners. Your nomination must be seconded by another Plant Producer member from your same sector, and be approved by the nominee.

Nomination forms must be returned to the NZPPI office (via email or post) by midnight on Sunday 21 March 2021.

Other information regarding the elections is available by emailing office@nzppi.co.nz  or phoning 04 918 3511
