Myrtle Rust online tool

04 Feb 2021

HortPlus and Plant & Food Research are developing an online tool to help plant producers make use of their local weather station data to better predict when to apply preventative fungicide sprays to manage myrtle rust in the nursery.

HortPlus will present their prototype tool to the NZPPI Science subcommittee and Native Nursery Group next Thursday 11 February and demonstrate the features of the tool.

NZPPI is currently looking at the possibility of licensing the platform to make it available for NZPPI members through our member-only log-in area.

Please email Kathryn@nzppi.co.nz if you are interested in finding out more about this development.
