Weekly NZPPI Disease Management emails achieving positive results for participating nurseries

18 Nov 2024

The weekly disease risk forecast service, developed by NZPPI in partnership with HortPlus, is delivering measurable benefits for nurseries across New Zealand. Ardmore Nurseries and Rural Design have praised the seven-day forecasts for helping them manage diseases such as myrtle rust, black spot, and downy mildew.

Ardmore Nurseries noted that the service has enabled them to better anticipate disease risks, improving the precision of their biosecurity measures and reducing plant losses. Rural Design highlighted how the forecasts have helped them optimise spraying practices, minimising unnecessary chemical use while protecting plant health.
