Nominations have opened for the Carol Fraser Industry Training Award (Fraser Award) and we ask you to encourage your emerging leaders to apply.
As we announced recently, the award has been established by the family of the late Carol Fraser of Growing Spectrum to honour her extremely active role in industry training and the professional development of plant producers. This award will continue Carol’s education legacy through its support of those outstanding individuals who have a passion for plants, for learning and for our industry.
The annual award is comprised of a specially-designed trophy donated by the Fraser family, an all-inclusive package to attend the two-day NZPPI annual conference and a prize pool of around $3000 for learning associated costs. It is open to individuals who work in plant production and are enrolled or or have recently completed training and education in an area related to plant production.
Nominations close on August 31st 2022 so encourage your staff members to apply now. More details and the nomination form is in the attached PDF. A judging panel will meet to select the winning nominee with the winner being announced at the NZPPI conference awards dinner on Wednesday October 12th in Napier.
We are very excited about this award and look forward to the nominations coming in. For more information please contact the NZPPI People Capability Advisor Alice Schofield on alice@nzppi.co.nz or 022 117 6250.
