Visit Plant Careers at Fieldays 2026!

03 Jun 2026

The Plant Careers stand is back at Mystery Creek, Hamilton | 10–13 June. This year is going to be another fantastic one with the support of Zealandia who are again generously donating seedlings. These seedlings are an incredible draw card with students returning each year to share details of their seedling growth and a sparked interest in the power of plants.

Head to the Fieldays Careers & Education Hub (site E30) to explore what a career in the plant production industry actually looks like.

  • Native plantings
  • Greenlife and landscape architecture
  • Primary industries including kiwifruit, viticulture, apples and forestry

The plant production industry offers amazingly diverse and rewarding careers.

Whether you're a student, a teacher, or just ready for something new, come and have a chat with the NZPPI team.

We'll be talking career pathways in food and fibre, connecting with the next generation of growers and industry legends, and yes… running a cornhole competition.

The Ministry for Primary Industries brings in dozens of secondary schools each year, so it's always a buzzing, energetic few days. We love every minute of it.

Come find us at the Hub.
