Quarantine-free Travel Changes from November 8th 2021

02 Nov 2021

From 8 November 2021 there will be one way quarantine-free travel from Samoa, Tonga or Vanuatu to New Zealand.

As a result, RSE workers from these countries will no longer be required to take any COVID-19 tests or self-isolate on arrival in New Zealand.

Unlike other quarantine-free travellers from Samoa, Tonga or Vanuatu to New Zealand (who must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 to enter New Zealand, unless they are New Zealand citizens or otherwise exempt from the requirement), until 1 January 2022 RSE workers arriving from Samoa, Tonga or Vanuatu are only required to have at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine.
