Water Code of Practice

16 Nov 2020

Despite recent rainfall, many regions of New Zealand still face the risk of water restrictions over the coming months.

In response to this, the NZPPI Water Working Group has developed a Code of Practice for Water Management.   The Code is describes practical ways that plant producers and garden retailers can manage water and provide evidence of good practice.

We are encouraging all plant producers and garden centers to consider adopting the Code as we head into the irrigation season.  Doing this will enable us to demonstrate that our industry is aware and playing our part in the community effort to conserve water.

NZPPI will promote the Code to water suppliers and Councils around New Zealand as we discuss access to water for plant production and garden retail in drought regions.

Register here to participate and receive a copy of the code.
