We’re making a submission to the Climate Change Commission – tell us what you think!

16 Mar 2021

Submissions to He Pou a Rangi Climate Change Commission close next week, after being extended by 14 days.

This submission opportunity follows the release of the Commission’s report and advice earlier this year – that is available here.

NZ Plant Producers will be making a submission on how the Commission’s proposal will impact our industry. Our submission will cover the implications to your business in aspects including heating, energy supply, transportation, waste, and carbon capture and storage.

As you can see, the scope is broad, and He Pou a Rangi Climate Change Commission’s recommendations can be expected to impact every business in our industry in a myriad of ways. Our industry’s future capacity for growth, and it’s ability to adapt to these changing and challenging times, will be affected by the options climate change legislation imposes on us.

Once we have made our submission it will be published on our website’s Submission’s page.

We want to hear from you – our industry and our members. Let us know how the Commission’s proposals will affect your business, for good or bad. Tell NZ Plant Producers chief executive Matthew Dolan on 021 622 9255 and matthew@nzppi.co.nz. Our submission must be received before Sunday 28 March 2021.
