NZPPI has worked with Groundtruth and Growsafe to offer two free workshops tailored to our industry and with a focus on managing plant diseases.
The workshops will cover the latest techniques for disease management and spray application, specifically in nurseries. The techniques being demonstrated will help improve your spray coverage and drastically reduce the time taken for spraying.
The workshops are designed for those who are already familiar with Growsafe or have experience with agrichemical application. As a bonus, they will include Growsafe Standard certificate renewal. The workshops are being funded and all costs are covered for NZPPI members.*
The morning will be facilitated by Dean Bowden from Growsafe and will cover re-certification requirements, including the assessment. The afternoon session will focus on practical spray application with John-Paul Praat from Groundtruth.
The two nursery-based workshops have limited spaces, priority will be given to NZPPI members:
- RESCHEDULED Wednesday 20 September, Growing Spectrum, Kihikihi, Hamilton, 9am to 3pm
- Tuesday 19 September, Scrub Growers, Wainui, Auckland, 9am to 3pm (Morning Growsafe session full. Registrations for afternoon practical session 1-3pm only)
Register now to avoid the waitlist.
The workshops and certificate renewals are free for NZPPI members. Non-members will be invoiced $250 for costs.
*Only attendees with a current Growsafe Standard certificate, or certificate less than 12 months overdue, will be eligible for certificate renewal. Others are welcome to attend but will not receive certification. Please see the Growsafe website and Growsafe FAQs for more information.
