Plant Producers Conference 2020 cancelled

18 March 2020

Read online

It will come as no surprise to many of you that we have been forced to cancel the Plant Producers Conference scheduled for late May 2020.

Given the highly unstable Covid-19 pandemic we were unable to guarantee you a venue, speakers, sponsors, and, most importantly, safety for our guests and delegates.

We are deeply disappointed to have to cancel the event. We had an exciting range of international and local speakers lined-up.

The conference theme of sustainability – operational, financial and environmental – is still relevant and will continue to be a challenge for our industry. At this stage we are closely monitoring the Covid-19 situation and looking for practical and creative ways to stay in touch and keep you up with industry issues.

We thank everyone who has assisted our conference planning. If you’ve signed up for the conference we will be repaying your booking in full and will be in touch directly.

Many thanks

Matthew Dolan, NZ Plant Producers chief executive

2020 Young Achiever competition

Entries are still open for the 2020 Young Achievers competition.

We were planning to run this popular event alongside our conference and present the award at its gala dinner, but now it will run independently.

At present, we are still waiting to hear the plans for the wider Young Horticulturalist competition, but Young Achiever is still on, and entries are open now here.
