University of Canterbury Biosecurity Innovations are hosting a free online webinar around building biosecurity capability and warmly invite you to register.

This two hour event brings four unique perspectives on New  Zealand’s current and future biosecurity capability needs and ways in which the tertiary sector can match that need.

  • Industry: Bill Dyck, Science and Technology broker for the Biological Heritage National Science Challenge and the Enviro-Link coordinator for regional council research.
  • Research: David Teulon, Director of  B3, Science solutions for Better Border Biosecurity, Aotearoa New Zealand.
  • Māori: Simon Lambert, Chief Scientist, Te Tira Whakamātaki (TTW), the New Zealand Maori Centre of Research Excellence.
  • Central government: Stuart Anderson, Deputy Director General, Biosecurity New Zealand.
