NZPPI has established its first Greenlife Special Interest Group, which had its inaugural meeting via Zoom on May 12. Attendees were key members in the retail and landscape sector including both retailers and producers.

The purpose of the group meeting is for NZPPI to support and encourage a closer collaboration between garden retailers and plant producers for the benefit of the industry. This SIG will meet on a quarterly basis and will be given updates from the work NZPPI is doing in this sector and discuss any industry wide issues. This meeting updates were given to the group on the following:

• Plant Pass Biosecurity Scheme - Introduction 
• Plant Import Strategy 
• Plant Careers – Garden Retail Qualifications
• Plant Trolleys
