COVID-19 Updates

07 Sep 2021

The Government yesterday announced that all of New Zealand outside of Auckland will move to Alert Level 2 at 11.59pm tonight (Tuesday 7th Sept).  Auckland remains at Alert Level 4. This will be reviewed by the on Monday 13 September.

From 11:59pm Thursday,  essential workers including truck drivers moving over the Auckland boundary will need to have had a swab test within the last 7 days. Swab testing is available at community testing sites around Auckland or at GP practices and urgent care clinics.  A list of testing locations can be found here. Testing will be free of charge and no stand down periods will apply while workers wait for test results.

Travelling directly through the Alert Level 4 area to get from one Alert level 3 area to another is permitted.  The driver and passengers must carry evidence that the travel is required. This may be a Business Travel Document (from the MBIE travel register) or a letter or similar document from the business that explains the purpose of the travel and the destination. Everyone travelling in the vehicle must have photo ID.
